PSR NewsOur 2nd graders will receive the Rite of Reconciliation Jan. 12 at the 10:00 am Mass. Jan. 19, Fr. David will hear their First Reconciliation during their PSR class.

Youth Group NewsThe Youth Group will will attend the 10:30am Mass for Life on Sunday, January 19th at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton. Bishop Murray will be the celebrant and a reception will follow the Mass.

Coffee & ConversationOur next breakfast gathering will be on Thursday, January 23 in the hall after the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Any parishioner who is grieving the loss of a loved one is welcome to attend. This is not a counselling session, but simply a loving and positive group of men and women who come to talk and support one another through each person's grief journey. Clothing Center Volunteers  NeededHours are from 10-2 pm the 4th Monday of each month and from 6:00-8:00 pm on the 3rd & 4th Thursdays of each month. Please call Veronica Williamson at 330-819-9760 for more information. Check the bulletin or Event Calendar to confirm Clothing Center dates, as days may be rescheduled, especially around holidays.

The Clothing Center is located at 3377 State Rt. 59 in Ravenna.

Kitchen Clean-UpThank you to all parishioners that have brought food and helped with funeral dinners. It means a lot to the families and they are so thankful! If you left any containers, please pick them up in the kitchen as soon as possible. Unclaimed plastic containers will be recycled or thrown out by January 21st. Thank you so much!

Tax Statements If you would like a tax statement for 2019, please sign the sheet on the counter in the back of church or write a note on your envelope. When they are completed, you will find them in the file on the counter.

Sickness and Church Closings If you are suffering from sickness or a cold, please stay home! It is not a sin to miss Mass because of sickness. Also note: If we have a snow storm during the week and Rootstown schools are closed because of the weather, we too are closed and will not have Mass that day. Any activities planned for that day, such as choir practice or any other meetings are also cancelled.

Out and About...

Two Masses for Life in January 2020 Our diocese will host two Masses for Life as a prayerful reminder that we "must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence." Bishop Murry will preside at the Masses for Life on:

  • Sunday, January 19. at 10:30am at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, 627 McKinley Ave. NW, Canton.
  • Sunday, January 26. at 4:00pm at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 W. Wood St., Youngstown.

Each Mass for Life will include a Blessing of Children in the Womb and will be followed by a reception. All are welcome -- no reservations needed. For more information contact or 330-744-8451 ext. 272.

Ministry to the DivorcedAnnulment Process Discussion. There will be a brief presentation and discussion on the Annulment Process led by Fr. John Keehner, JCL, on Tuesday, January 28th at 6:00 pm at St. Paul Parish, North Canton, in the North Room. No cost and no reservations necessary.

The Catholic's Divorce Survival Guide
will be offered on Wednesday evenings, February 19-May 6 from 6:45-9:00 pm at St. Paul Parish, 241 S. Main St., North Canton in North Room A (lower level of the Church). This is a DVD-based series with accompanying materials created to bring hope and healing to divorced and separated Catholics. No cost. Catholic Women Conference - Amazing Grace Saturday, February 15, 2020, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm at the Ohio Expo Center's Kasich Hall, 717 E 17th Ave, Columbus, OH 43211. Regular Tickets: $40 (early bird pricing). Tickets are $45 after January 20th and $50 at the door. Ticket includes breakfast and lunch.
