Tuesday Mass during SummerThe 7:00pm Mass on Tuesday (in place of 8:30 am) is offered during the summer and fall (while it is still light out) for those who may want a different alternative than morning Mass during the week. It is also offered for those who work and want an opportunity to attend Mass during the week when they can. Please utilize this Mass time to your benefit, while we still have daily Masses being offered. Those who can are also encouraged to please consider coming to daily Mass.

Blessing of DogsSt. Rocco and the Blessing of Dogs will occur on St. Rocco's Feast Day in our parish courtyard on Thursday, August 16th at 7:00pm. A full biography and story about St. Rocco will be in next week's bulletin. Dogs are blessed on his Feast because when he was sick and recovering in the woods, a dog brought him bread on which to survive. I have invited the neighboring parishes as well. Dog lovers, please come and bring your dog to be blessed, rain or shine. (Sorry no cats.) All other animals will be blessed in October, close to the Feast of St. Francis.

Altar Rosary - Save the DatesCreating Snowmen (for Fall Bazaar) on August 29th at Mary Cochran's starting at 9:00am. September 10th for Altar and Rosary meeting at Helen White's at 3:00pm. More details will follow in the bulletin.

Charitable Giving... ...sometimes goes into a steep decline during the summer months. Our own Catholic Charities is having a Fund Drive to Fight Hunger during the summer. A donation of $20.00 can have your name on a paper plate to help feed a hungry person. You can donate easily to our Catholic Charities on line.

Clothing Center Volunteers St. Peter's volunteers two days each month at the Portage County Clothing Center. The first day is the fourth Monday of the month from 10:00am to 2:00pm with a lunch break. The second day is the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Note that, during some months, additional days may b e scheduled. Please check the bulletin or Event Calendar to confirm Clothing Center dates.

The Center is located at 3377 State Rt. 59 in Ravenna. For more information about volunteering, please call Mary (330)850-5192 for Monday, or Veronica (330)297-9818 for the Thursday shift.

Magnified Catholic Women's MinistryMary, Queen of Heaven and Earth Chapter of Magnificat, modeled after the Visitation, invites you to a breakfast, Saturday, September 8th at Walsh University, Barrette Center, 2020 E. Maple St. N. Canton, Oh. Father John Michael Paul will be the guest speaker. Cost is $18.00. Checks payable to "Magnificat of Stark County" and send to Vicki Vasto, 8735 Glenarden Circle NW, Massillon, Oh 44646. Reservations must be in by September 1st. St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic CathedralTheir 10th Annual Romanian Heritage Festival will be held Sunday August 26th from noon to 8:00pm. Held at 1123 – 44th St. NE, Canton, Ohio. Open to public – free admission and parking. Romanian Wine tasting, Romanian & Domestic Beer, Ethnic Bakery, Gift shop, Romanian & American Food. Music by Visinata. A Romanian Costume Contest with cash prizes awarded.

Annual Faith and Family Festival, September 23rd. A day of fun and fulfillment for families, students and friends will be held on the West Quad of the campus of Walsh University at 2020 E. Maple St., North Canton. The free event starts at 11:00am with Mass.

5K Fun Run and 1 Mile Walk... Benefit Men & Women United for Life, Saturday, September 29th at 9:00am at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

Sister of Notre Dame Annual BBQ and Boutique Sunday, September 30th, Noon to 5:00 pm. The sisters will be making jams and jelly to sell. If anyone has any jelly jars that don't need, they would appreciate them.

Purified: A Life-Changing Event for Families,.. ...with Jason Evert. On Wednesday, September 5 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at St. Christine Church, Youngstown. Jason will present "Purified" an event for the entire family, ages 13 and up, which includes a presentation for parents (Parenting for Purity), followed by his chastity talk for teens (Love or Lust?) After, there will be a time of Eucharistic Adoration with music and prayer, along with the Sacrament of Reconciliation, plus free books and CDs for attendees.

It's a Super Summer Sizzling Sale! Queen of Angels Religious Treasures, located in St Joseph Church at 2nd & Sackett Sts. in Cuyahoga Falls will be kicking off their summer sale Sunday, July 29th. Our goal is to offer you an opportunity to purchase items at a greatly reduced price and at the same time reduce our current inventory to make room for new items.
