Daily Mass Schedule ChangeBeginning the second week of September and for the next several weeks, weekday Masses will be celebrated at St. Peter's on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30am, unless there is a funeral. There will be no Mass on Thursday. Please check the bulletin or Event Calendar for the latest information.

 PSR (CCD) NewsOur Parish School of Religion classes begin Sunday, Sept. 15. They run from 8:50-9:55 am. Please remember to come into the hall after class to meet your younger children. The parking lot is very busy and can be dangerous. Father David will bless our teachers, parents, and students at the end of the 10:00 am Mass.

Youth Group Kick-Off LunchHigh school students and parents – save the date! There will be a kickoff lunch for you and your family on Sunday, September 22nd after the 10:00 am Mass. See what we have planned for the 2019-2020 year! Please RSVP by September 18th to TerryLakos@gmail.com.

Altar Rosary Society Monday, September 9th, all ladies of the parish are invited to the home of Helen White (10616 Scotts Corners Road, Diamond, OH 44412) for the September meeting. The October meeting with be at St. Peter's on Monday, October 14th at 6:30 pm. We will be planning the Harvest Bazaar which will be held on Saturday, November 2nd

Catholic War Veterans Wine Tour The Catholic War Veterans of Rootstown are planning a wine tour September 14th. Cost will be $40 a person to cover transportation and a box lunch. The bus leaves St. Peter of the Fields at 11 am Attendees will visit South River Vineyard, Geneva, Red Eagle Distillery (Geneva), Hundley Cellars, and Debonne Vineyards & Cellar Rat Beer (Madison) to enjoy the wine, food, and ambiance. Planned return around 10 pm. Seating is limited; sell-out expectd. To make reservations, call Don Slusher (216-334-4300) or Rich Rodenbucher (330-606-4063).

Parish PicnicOn Saturday, September 28th, we will have our parish picnic in the hall after Mass.We will supply the hot dogs, potato salad and drinks. It is also a covered dish dinner, so please prepare some nice "summer" foods for the occasion. This will also be a time to welcome back our students who are attending University at the College of Medicine. We will also have our parish raffle drawing as well. Hope to see you there!

Clothing Center Volunteers St. Peter's volunteers two days each month at the Portage County Clothing Center. Normally, the first day is the fourth Monday of the month from 9:00am to 2:00pm with a lunch break, and the second day is the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Please check the bulletin or Event Calendar closer to the end of the month to confirm Clothing Center dates, as days may be rescheduled.

Scholarship Fund Thank You As a thank you for all your generous support for the Colton C. Michalec Scholarship Fund and in celebration of Colton's 18th birthday, our family would like to invite you to the MAPS Air Museum in Canton, Ohio, from 5-8 pm on Sunday, September 15th. The MAPS Museum was one of Colton's most favorite places to go because of his love for military aircraft. Magnificat Women's Ministry BreakfastMary, Queen of Heaven and Earth Chapter of Magnificat invites you to a breakfast on Saturday, September 21st, at Walsh University, Barrette Center, 2020 E. Maple Street, N. Canton, OH. Cindy Russo will be the guest speaker. Open seating. Doors open at 8:30 am with breakfast at 9:00 am. Optional Mass at 8:00 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel at Walsh University.

25-40-50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration The Diocese of Youngstown will sponsor a Wedding Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, October 20th at 2 pm at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton, honoring couples observing their 25th, 40th, 50th and over wedding anniversaries in 2019. The Wedding Anniversary Celebration will include Mass with Monsignor Robert J. Siffrin, renewal of marriage vows and a personalized certificate for each couple. Following the Mass, there will be a reception for the couples and their families in the Cathedral Hall. You must make reservations in advance for this event by contacting your parish office on or before September 16th.
