Mass at German Family Society June 24Father David will celebrate Mass in German at the German Family Society, Ranfield Road, on Sunday, June 24th at 11:30am. All are invited to attend. This is the annual "Church Festival" like the Donau-Schwaben people used to do in their villages. Traditional German foods and beers will be available, and various bands will be playing throughout the day.

Charitable Giving... ...sometimes goes into a steep decline during the summer months. Our own Catholic Charities is having a Fund Drive to Fight Hunger during the summer. A donation of $20.00 can have your name on a paper plate to help feed a hungry person. You can donate easily to our Catholic Charities on line.

Social Justice Yarn Drive The group is in need of more yarn for our knitters who make blankets and scarves for the homeless. If you have any extra please leave on table in entrance of the church.

Survivors of Suicide, Youngstown Guest Speaker July 12Our speaker will be Cathy Grizinski. More information about this group is available at www.survivorsofsuicide.com. This is open to all interested people; neighboring parishes will be invited to attend. Time to be announced.

St. Peter Parish PicnicThe Parish Picnic will be held on Sunday July 15th, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Mark your calendar and plan to attend. The church will furnish the meat and everyone is asked to bring a dish to share. The drawing for our Summer Raffle will take place at the picnic.

Summer Bus Trip, Carey, OhioOur summer trip this year will be in August, to Our Lady of Consolation Shrine in Carey, OH. Efforts are being made to have us go the same day as our Diocesan Pilgrimage. Please stay tuned for more details, or listen to announcements from the pulpit.

Clothing Center Volunteers St. Peter's volunteers two days each month at the Portage County Clothing Center. The first day is the fourth Monday of the month from 10:00am to 2:00pm with a lunch break. The second day is the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Note that, during some months, additional days may b e scheduled. Please check the bulletin or Event Calendar to confirm Clothing Center dates.

The Center is located at 3377 State Rt. 59 in Ravenna. For more information about volunteering, please call Mary (330)850-5192 for Monday, or Veronica (330)297-9818 for the Thursday shift.

Social Justice Recycled Ink Cartridges The Social Justice group is recycling printer cartridges. A box is located on the bookshelf in entrance of the church. The cartridges will be given to the therapeutic riding school Pegasus Farm located in Hartville. They will be recycled by Pegasus and the money received will go into their scholarship fund to help less fortunate families of the handicapped children and veterans who are clients.

St. Ambrose Garrettsville Chicken Dinner FestivalChicken Dinner FestivalSt. Ambrose Parish will be holding its 59th annual Chicken Dinner Festival Saturday, June 23 from 1:00-8:00pm and Sunday, June 24 from 11:30am - 7:00pm. Cost -- Adults $12.00 and Children $7.00. Carry outs are available. There will be Chinese Auction, Bingo, raffles and games of chance for adults, and games for children.

St. Augustine Church, Cleveland Rainbow CampSt. Augustine Church in Cleveland will soon be having their annual Rainbow Camp. This camp helps the severely handicapped and homeless children of the Cleveland area to have a little fun during the summer. The cost of sponsoring a child for the camp is roughly $150.00 per child.  100% of money donated to St. Augustine's stays within their parish to help with their programs. LINC "Fore the Kids" Golf Outing – July 14Love in Neglected Communities (LINC) is a non-profitthat provides impoverished youth access to core resources needed for basic survival and self-fulfillment. LINC is currently building a primary school in Awasi, Kenya. Our annual golf outing fundraiser will be Saturday, July 14 at Paradise Lakes in Suffield. Shot gun start at 2:00. Right to Life of NE Ohio "What to do; what to say" Right to Life will be hosting a Sidewalk Counseling/Witnessing Class on Saturday, June 23rd, from 9:30 – 11:30am at the office located at 572 W.
