PSR NewsWe will have PSR classes on December 8th at the regular time, but on December 15th, we will have our classes after the 10:00 a.m. Mass so we can have the Christmas Pageant and a Christmas Luncheon with pizza and snacks. Many of your children will be helping with the pageant and all the parents are expected to attend. Please bring a snack to share.

Feast of the Immaculate ConceptionThe Feast of the Immaculate Conception falls on a Monday this year. It is a non-obligatory Holy Day, but it is a Holy Day nonetheless. There will be one Mass in our church on Monday morning, December 9th at 9:00 am. Note: There is no daily Mass on Tuesday, December 10.

Advent Penance ServiceThere will be one Deanery Penance Service for Advent. It is scheduled for Thursday, December 12th at 7:00 pm at St. Patrick Church in Kent.

Church Decorating for Christmas We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Sunday, December 22nd after the 10:00 a.m. Mass. PLEASE give us a helping hand if you can.

Altar Rosary Christmas Cookie SaleAltar & Rosary will be selling cookies again this year. Place your order by December 15th. Pick up is December 21-22. The cost is $4.50/dozen. To order, call Alice Biltz at 330-285-3961.

Coffee & ConversationOur next breakfast gathering will be on Thursday, December 19th in the hall after the 8:30 am Mass. Any parishioner who is grieving the loss of a loved one is welcome to attend. This is not a counselling session, but simply a loving and positive group of men and women who come to talk and support one another through each person's grief journey. Clothing Center Volunteers  NeededHours are from 10-2 pm the 4th Monday of each month and from 6:00-8:00 pm on the 3rd & 4th Thursdays of each month. Please call Veronica Williamson at 330-819-9760 for more information. Check the bulletin or Event Calendar to confirm Clothing Center dates, as days may be rescheduled, especially around holidays.

The Clothing Center is located at 3377 State Rt. 59 in Ravenna.

Sickness and Church Closings If you are suffering from sickness or a cold, please stay home! It is not a sin to miss Mass because of sickness. Also note: If we have a snow storm during the week and Rootstown schools are closed because of the weather, we too are closed and will not have Mass that day. Any activities planned for that day, such as choir practice or any other meetings are also cancelled.

Women's Spirituality SeriesDiscerning Your Spiritual Path. Join Sister Eileen Kernan, December 5th from 6:30-8:00 pm for the final installment of this year's women's spirituality series. Sister Eileen will help you define spirituality, name your own way of being spiritual, and discover ways to enrich your spiritual path. Bring a journal or notebook and a pen and meet at the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown Motherhouse, 4250 Shields Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
